For Two Sopranos, Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Cello
This arrangement of Isaac Watts familiar poetry of 1719, is set to the old tune “Resignation” from William Walker’s Southern Harmony of 1835. In the accompaniment are also found “Brother James’ Air” and “St. Columba,” both familiar “shepherd psalm” tunes. It is also available with string quartet, or in A Hymn Collection for Two Voices, with piano.
